Electronic Filing Options for Federal and State E-File -  Estates  and trusts may file Missouri 
Form MO‑1041  Fiduciary Income Tax Returns  electronically.  Missouri,  in cooperation  with 
the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), offers a joint federal and state electronic filing of fiduciary    
income tax returns through Modernized E‑File (MeF). This system has been developed through 
a cooperative effort between the IRS, states, and the software community. The system uses the 
latest electronic technology and industry standards. An estate or trust may visit the Department’s
