Learn MoreWelcome to the Alabama Department of Labor
Welcome to the new Alabama Department of Labor brand and website. Our new website is still where we help connect job seekers with employers and drive the state’s workforce forward. At our many Alabama Career Centers, we assist job seekers with training and education while providing real opportunities for career advancement. Our goal is to put people to work in high demand/high paying positions.
As you’ll see across our website, we’ve worked to make finding information easy for job seekers, employers, and claimants. Although we’re still your source for information on unemployment insurance, workplace inspections, and labor market data, we’re even more focused on helping you learn practical skills for a new career path—so that you can discover your true purpose and passion.
