Fraud Watch
Did you get mail? Identity Theft & Unemployment:

If you or your employer received notification about your unemployment benefits, but you didn’t file for benefits, visit our Fraud Watch page and submit the ID Theft Report Form.

CTDOL sends notification to employers and claimants when claims are filed. It’s a fraud prevention measure that helps CTDOL validate claims before they progress in the system.

If you or your employer received notification that you filed for benefits, you are likely the victim of identity theft—a criminal has your identity and used it to try to file for benefits.
