Per Town code, the Town of Frisco requires any person operating and maintaining any business within the town, including the delivery of goods within the town, which are purchased or contracted for outside the corporate limits of the Town, to obtain an annual business license. To learn more about business licensing in Frisco, it is suggested that you review the relevant licensing section of the Town Code.
New Business License Application
The annual fee for a business license has increased for the calendar year 2024 from $75 to $100. All businesses are licensed on a January through December schedule, and therefore, businesses obtaining a license in the middle of the year will have their fee pro-rated. Filling out and submitting this form provides the Town of Frisco with necessary information regarding business activity in the Town. Application fees are non-refundable. Those businesses which need a Town of Frisco business license: Any person operating and maintaining any business in the Town of Frisco, including the delivery of goods within the Town which are purchased or contracted from outside of the corporate limits of the town and are delivered by other means than a common carrier, must pay for an annual Town of Frisco business license.
Those businesses which are exempt from paying for Town of Frisco business license: remote sellers with no physical presence in Town or retailers with economic nexus that utilizes only the following methods of delivery: FEDEX, UPS, DHL, USPS, or electronic delivery, are exempt from paying for an annual Town of Frisco business license, but must complete a new business license application.
Business licenses must be renewed annually. All business licenses reflect a January 1 through December 31 schedule.
Any changes to the information provided by the applicant on the initial application shall be updated during the annual renewal in order to provide current and accurate information for the Town’s records. Your renewal letter contains information provided to the Town during the initial application or last renewal. If applicable, follow the button below to update your business contact information.
You can pay your $100 business license renewal online at XpressBillPay.com. The Town of Frisco is encouraging businesses to go paperless with their business license renewals. There’s no additional fee for this service.
Below are step-by-step instructions for paying your business license renewal online; it’s easier than it looks, and once you set it up, you are good to go! The following button provides more generic instructions, but with helpful screen shots.
Once you set up your business license account, technical questions regarding the Xpress Bill Pay website must be directed to Xpress Bill Pay technical support at 800-766-2350. For non-technical questions specifically for the Town of Frisco, please email businesslicense@townoffrisco.com
Click on the “Create a New Account” button and fill in the email address and password fields and click “next”. Certain browsers require verification that you are not a robot. If your browser requires this, an “I’m not a robot” step will show here as well. (If you’ve already signed up with Xpress Bill Pay and have an account, you can log in with your email address and password rather than creating another account.)
Fill in the form with all of the required information. Read the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. Select the box indicating that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. When completed, select “next”
Next, you will need to verify your email address. Please log into your email account and open the email with the following subject line, “verify email address for Xpress Bill Pay” from noreply@xpressbillpay.com.
After clicking the “verify email” button, you will be automatically redirected to screen that lets you know that your email has been verified successfully. Please click “CONTINUE” to log in to your new Xpress Bill Pay account.
Next you will need to locate your billing organization. This is where you select your city or billing organization from the list of organizations listed when you use the search function. Search Town of Frisco or 80443 to find the Town of Frisco.
Enter the requested information on the “Add New Account” screen: a. Select “Business License”. b. Enter your business license account number and the first word of the business name. You may also email businesslicense@townoffrisco.com for this information. c. Click on “Add Account” button.
You have now successfully linked your first account to your new login, and this is also where you can opt to set up auto payments. If you add more accounts, they will all be listed on your “Accounts” page.
To begin paying your bill, select “Account” and the click on the “Pay button” and you will be taken through the cart checkout process.
Then click on the “Proceed to Checkout” button.
When you select “Proceed to Checkout” you will be able to choose which type of payment method you wish to use. You can pay using an electronic funds transfer from a checking or savings account.
After selecting “Add Payment Method” from the “Select Pay Method” drop-down, enter the information for each field. Once all the fields are completed, select “Confirm”.
Once your payment method has been selected and all fields are completed, select “Review and Confirm.”
Review the entered information, and if all is correct, select “Submit Payment.” If you need to edit some information, select, “Back to Checkout” in the top left-hand corner.
Once transaction is complete a “SUCCESS” message will pop up on the screen and a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Temporary Business License Application
Non-permanent businesses planning to do business within town limits can obtain a temporary business license. The fee is $25 per day.
