Scott S. of Thornton won the $3,000,000 top prize on his Monopoly 500X Scratch ticket! Scott, who is self-employed, says he started playing lottery games just 11 days before his lucky big win - talk about beginner’s luck! When he scratched off his winning ticket and realized what he’d won, he said he just started screaming. Scott says he plans to use his winnings to simply “enjoy his life.” Congratulations and have fun, Scott!

DMV: 150th anniversary license plates are now available

Colorado, the wait is over.

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles is proud to announce the state’s 150th anniversary license plates are now available to purchase on Colorado Day, Aug. 1, 2023, until July 2027.

Coloradans can purchase either license plate online at myDMV.Colorado.gov(opens in new window)(opens in new window)(opens in new window)(opens in new window) or at a county-operated motor vehicle office. The license plates will cost $8.06 per pair, in addition to local fees.

The two license plates are based on the Historic Colorado Contest’s winning designs, which were determined in a statewide competition to design, then choose the winners in two divisions — Under 13 and Over 13. More than 34,000 Coloradans voted in the contest.

TAX: Taxation Division to Remove the PayConnexion Payment Option in June

Effective after 4 p.m. June 29, tax payments can no longer be remitted through PayConnexion, by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). The Payconnexion system is sunsetting, and will no longer be an available option. All other online payment options are available at Revenue Online.

The program is being sunset by its owner. The move will be complete after 4 p.m. June 29.

Coloradans can still use the Division’s other online payment options, which include Revenue Online Direct Debit, credit card, debit card, e-check, cryptocurrency and ACH Credit. For a complete list of payment options, visit Revenue Online.

Coloradans who have future payments scheduled through Payconnexion will need to reschedule their tax payments via Revenue Online. Taxpayers need to create a Revenue Online account at least 48 hours before the first payment is made, if they do not already have an account.
