Interactive PDFs:
CDOR posts interactive PDFs for each form uploaded on the Tax Grid. The interactive PDF will have layers that Software Form Developers can turn on and off in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Professional. Depending on what layer is needed, users can toggle the layers to match their needs. The layers that will be included in the PDF are:
Red X layer - Shows text safe area for variable data. Can be toggled.
Document layer - This is the form and is locked so that it always shows
Grid layer - The 6x10 grid. Can be toggled.
Draft Stamp layer - Only included on drafts to indicate the form is not finalized.
Do Not Release Colorado Tax Forms in your software before the Release Date posted on the tax grid below. Any forms made available prior to the Release Date noted in the tax grid below, will not read in our system.

Form #
Colorado Department of Revenue assigned DR number.Title
The title of the form.Revision Date
The latest revision date of the form.Date Posted
The date the form was posted to the web page.Status
Indicates whether the form is "Draft", "Final" or "Final Updated".Draft form templates are posted as an example of a form however this version is not accepted as a form for review by Colorado. Only Final versions are accepted.
Final form templates are the versions of forms vendors must use as an example for their software.
Final Updated form templates that were previously final and has been corrected.
Submit No Later Than
The last date a form may be submitted to Colorado for review and approval. Forms that are submitted after the submit no later than, due date and/or are not on the current year's list of required forms to be reviewed, are subject to being placed on hold. The 15 business days to complete the review will no longer apply. These forms may be reviewed at the earliest convenience of the paper form review team. For example, coupon forms (scanline forms) are often due by the end of September. If a vendor submits the form in November, the form may be placed on hold until February when the review season has slowed.Date First Final
The date a form was initially approved by Colorado and had been posted as a final to the website by Colorado.Comments

Form Type
This is the type of form that is provided by CDOR for vendors to download. Form types are:Book - Book template with associated forms and instructions. A book template does not include data placement X's or a 6 x 10 grid.
Form - Form is a blank template of the form. This template does include data placement X's and a 6 x 10 grid as layers.
Release Date or Time Frame
The time frame the form may be released by the vendors in their software. Description of each is provided below:Immediate - Forms that are ready for immediate update and release in the vendor software. Colorado highly encourages the update and distribution of these forms to the public as soon as possible.
Annual - Forms that are updated annually and are not available for release to the public until January 1, 2025.
1/26/24 - These forms are used for January tax collections that are due on February 20th.

Note forms that have not had a Draft posted will also appear in red. Make sure to check the "Submit No Later Than" date to determine when the form is due by.
